CryEngine is a very diversified game engine with TONS of free packs for beginners to get started. Through their free pack, GameSDK, I took the opportunity to learn several of its amazing features:

Not only is generating the weather and environment a blast, but it's also fun to watch objects you forget to set gravity parameters to fly away into the sun!
