for String Orchestra
April 2021, the Missouri State University Symphony strings premiered "Infinity" for String Orchestra. It was my very first official premier after winning the Student Composer's Contest.
for SATB Choir
A large ensemble work for STAB choir. I was in choir from the age of eight till I turned seventeen in high school. It was my original musical influence as a child, so it felt right to have such beautiful poetry by Tsuboi Shigeji be set to music on my senior portfolio.
for Brass Quintet
This was my first brass ensemble work I had completed during my early undergraduate years. As a wind musician, I loved writing for instruments that produced a completely different mood than that of my flute. I've also always been a major fan of horns, so it was an anazming -and educational- experience!
for Flute and Piano
This was my final small ensemble piece written for my senior recital. As a classical flautist of 11 years, I really wanted one of the best works on my portfolio to be on my main instrument. It was super fun working with Ethan and Laura, and I learned a lot about compositing for duets and accompaniments throughout the process.
